EXPERIENCE AQUAPONIA

At Future Farming, we are helping to bring a new generation of agriculture into the world: aquaponics. We build and operate farms that use modern technology to combine intensive fish farming with growing plants on water, without the use of herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers of any kind. The result of our work is high quality food that supports both urban food self-sufficiency and the overall sustainability of the planet. 

• - The aquaponic system saves up to 95% of water compared to other growing methods.
• - Due to the minimal maintenance of the system, there is an energy saving of 70% compared to traditional gardening.
• - Production is completely independent of the weather.

Our first aquaponic farm was built in the village of Kaly, north of Brno. However, part of its capacity is also dedicated to research activities related to aquaponic plant and fish farming and to testing new technologies.

The Brno district of Heršpice is home to the largest commercial aquaponic farm in the Czech Republic to date. The entire facility is adapted for year-round cultivation of various types of crops and breeding of thermophilic fish.

Future Farming is also building an aquaponic farm in Slovakia, north of Bratislava in the town of Senica.
